Overall I would say this printer is extremely good value for the money and I have had to spend very little time messing with it other than to correct the calibration from me beating on the thing.% This is the RIPE Database query service. If anyone wants 1/4 of a dog let me know. There is a single test print on the supplied SD card and they send enough filament to print ~1/4 of it. The grooved bushings seem to hold position very well.Īll of my complaints have to do with the instructions / trouble shooting and the dismal amount of sample filament they ship. The aluminum extrusions are much stiffer than the linear bearing assembly. (good problem to have I guess)Īs far as the printer construction goes it is far far ahead of my $1000 flashforge printer was. I do tent to have to calibrate the printer between prints as the fuckers stick to the bed so well I literally have to hammer them off. For the Ender 3 I found a youtube video that went through how to setup Cura and I have been using those settings with great success with PLA. I don't think I ever truly had it dialed in. I used to have a flashforge dual head printer and I swear that thing dropped calibration mid print. One of my main concerns was with how much I needed to mess with the printer between prints. I had z binding issues that I resolved and after a few calibration prints I realized i needed to tighten the jebeezus out of the x belt. If you are mechanically inclined you'll get it together. They send you all the tools, zip ties, etc you need but the instructions are about 75% complete. The Creality Ender 3 came up and after a solid 25 minutes of googling it was on its way home.Īssembing the thing is not terrible, but not great. I asked a few days ago for a good bang for your buck entry level printer.
